The Aloha 34 is simply a larger version of the Aloha 28, except there's much more of everything, including an amazing (by sailboat standards) 6' 7" of headroom . While a long waterline will give this boat good speed, it was not designed with racing in mind. The Aloha 34 has a skeg mounted rudder and more interior volume than many other 34 footers. Although the standard draft was 5' 6", a few were built with the 4' 6" shoal draft keel. It should be noted that this boat was also marketed as the Aloha 10.4 during the 1980s. Some of the older versions of the Aloha 34s weighed a bit less, and had a little more headroom in the aft area of the main cabin. (Note that this is one of the boats whose price increased dramatically when the used market rebounded a few years ago. As a result, it can be difficult to find one at the lower end of price range.)
