The Alberg 37 is included here because it has to be one of the best choices on the used market in central Canada if you are looking for a reasonably priced boat for a circumnavigation. (Another good choice would be the Contessa 32.) Like most other Alberg designs, this boat is immensely seaworthy. However, because it's an older design, it has narrower beam and less living space below than the average 37 footer. But it is still a large boat, and it can be sailed to the four corners of the world in comfort and safety. Note that the Yawl version (with a small mast aft of the cockpit) has a sail area 686 sq. ft, and PHRF of 165. (The number given in the specifications are for the sloop version.)
