The Kanata Sailing Club caters to dinghies and small catamarans, and boasts of an informal and relaxing atmosphere. It was established in 1975 by a group of sailing enthusiasts in the March Township, and it was first known as the March Sailing Club.
KSC is a cooperative club which owns a variety of boats and sailboards, including approximately a dozen dinghies and several catamarans. The use of all these boats and sailboards is free to all members who have acquired the necessary sailing skills. There are also privately-owned boats at the club.
Facilities include a small club house and a sandy beach. KSC offers racing and training programs, and it holds numerous social events. The club is adjacent to the YM-YWCA camp and is located just west of Lac Deschenes.
