Kanata Sailing Club (KSC) The beach in front of the Kanata Sailing Club. The Kanata Sailing Club caters to dinghies and small catamarans, and boasts of an informal and relaxing atmosphere. It was established in 1975 by a group of sailing enthusiasts in the March Township, and it was first known as the March Sailing Club. KSC is a cooperative club which owns a variety of boats and sailboards, including approximately a dozen dinghies and several catamarans. The use of all these boats and sailboards is free to all members who have acquired the necessary sailing skills. There are also privately-owned boats at the club. Facilities include a small club house and a sandy beach. KSC offers racing and training programs, and it holds numerous social events. The club is adjacent to the YM-YWCA camp and is located just west of Lac Deschenes.
