Mobility Cup Regatta coming to Ottawa for 2012.
The Nepean Sailing Club will be hosting the 2012 edition of the Mobility Cup, Canada’s international regatta for sailors with disabilities. The regatta will be taking place towards the end of summer from September 10 to 14, 2012.
The Mobility Cup is a major event which features upwards to 50 disabled sailors from across the country competing in three different fleets. The regatta has also attracted competitors from the States and as far away as New Zealand.
The Mobility Cup was first held in Vancouver in 1991, and the regatta has since been taking place in major cities throughout Canada. Last year’s event took place in Hamilton. The Mobility Cup was last in Ottawa in 2003 when NSC first hosted the regatta.
