Call for Volunteers for the Mobility Cup (volunteer training sessions - Aug 15 or 19)
The Mobility Cup is looking for Volunteers.
For people unfamiliar with the Mobility Cup, it is Canada’s premier regatta for sailors with disabilities, and this event takes place annually in cities across the country. The 2012 edition of the Mobility Cup will be taking place on the Ottawa River from September 10 to 14th. It is being hosted by the Nepean Sailing Club.
Because of the nature of this regatta, the Mobility Cup requires a large number of enthusiastic volunteers to help on the docks and on the water. Volunteers are also needed to provide breakfasts and lunches for the event.
In order to prepared the volunteers who will be helping out on the docks and the water, special training sessions will be held at the Nepean Sailing Club, Wednesday, August 15th, from 5:00-6:30, or Sunday, August 19th. It may be possible to set up other times for volunteers who cannot make it on these dates.
For more information, contact the NSC AbleSail Manager (Jenny Davey) at the following email address: nsc-ablesail [at] nsc [dot] ca , or by calling the Nepean Sailing School at 613-828-1081.
