RE: Quyon Ferry to become a cable ferry next year.

Hi, even though it will be a cable ferry you are correct in saying that there will be sufficient sag in the cable for boats to pass.
The cable is a half mile in length and has a weight of 7 tons so there will be plenty of sag.
Boats could pass 700 ft behind the ferry and the cable would be plenty deep but Transport Canada recommends all boat traffic halt while ferry in motion.
Being electric and no longer prop driven everyone should get a much better sleep if they are docked at the pleasure docks in Quyon.

Hope this info. helps,
Ed
